Stone Fruit Box
Every year, we count down the days until stone fruit season. The arrival of summer made tangible, and all the more sweet. While the season brings a bounty of exceptional produce, stone fruit remains a highlight for us. From apricots and cherries to peaches and nectarines, each variety carries its own character. However, they do generally share two defining traits: the hard stone at their centre and the rich, sun-fed juice synonymous with warmer days.
In nature, no two days look the same. That’s why your box might differ slightly from this image and list, reflecting nature’s highs.
White Peaches – Grown by Domenico in Caserta, Campania, the White Peaches are available all summer long, with different heritage varieties ripening in succession. We’ve worked with Domenico for over a decade. He’s the grower behind our famous Greta, and his dedication shows in each short-season variety, including Onora d’Estate, Alexander, Isabella D’Este, Maria Rosa, Rosa del West, Maperla, Cladis, Salvetta, and Dulcir.
Yellow Nectarines – These come from Marc and Vincent in Montauban and a cooperative in Lleida, Catalonia. Two regions known for outstanding stone fruit. In Lleida, the climate helps build intense sweetness, while Marc and Vincent, 4th and 5th generation growers, farm on the clay slopes of the Midi-Pyrénées using protective canopies that let in sunlight. Handpicked at peak ripeness, these nectarines are rich in flavour. Look for the speckled skin, a natural sign of high sugar content.
Apricots – British Apricots from Caroline and David’s hillside orchard in Rochester, Kent are grown in succession throughout the season, with five carefully selected varieties offering a range of delicate, balanced flavours. Most have blushed, deep orange skin and were chosen with input from Italian and Austrian specialists to ensure top quality. Their work has sparked a regional shift, inspiring other local growers to plant apricots, and even peaches.
Cherries – Our Cherries come from a fourth-generation family farm in Herefordshire. They cultivate multiple varieties, starting with the Klaudia, hand-pruning and hand-harvesting across 20 hectares. Their deep-red fruit has benefited from the early warmth this season. The farm has also diversified into fruit production: cider apples, cherries and blueberries.

Voir toutWe exist to fix the food system.
People are more cut off from the origins of their food than ever. This makes flavour, nutrition and farming practices that protect the planet, almost impossible to find.
By working directly with growers, we create a more sustainable way forward for farming. By giving everyone the tools to understand the power of our food choices, we empower everybody to become drivers of change.
Now is the time for action. Join the food system revolution.
Go beyond four seasons
Each fruit and vegetable has its own season, with subtle shifts which happen every day. Follow their microseasons to unlock flavour at every stage.
WHAT’S IN SEASON?
Know where your food comes from
We know the name of the people behind everything we source. Recognise their growing artistry to find out exactly where your food comes from (and why that matters).
MEET THE GROWERS
Make your diet diverse
Our growers work with varieties chosen for quality and nutrition, not yield. By selecting their crops you keep heritage seeds in play, add to ecosystem biodiversity and preserve unique flavours.
