Cosmos & Plums for Radicchio, not Roses 2022 Campaign

As part of our Give Radicchio, Not Roses campaign for Valentine’s Day, floral stylist Kasia Borowiecka, Cosmos & Plums, makes Radicchio the centrepiece of her playful, inspired tablescapes.

How to style your table with Radicchio

● Place Radicchio in a vase, as you would flowers. Spray them with water to keep them fresh. Guests could enjoy removing the petals of the Radicchio and placing them in their salad. This could be part of an interactive dinner setting.

● Whilst Radicchio is in the vase you can gently open up the petals to admire their beautiful textures and colours. Celebrate the beauty of your ingredients.

● To give your Radicchio some height, place them either on a florist wire (available at your local florist, craft shop or online) or on a skewer. This will imitate the stem of the flower and can be then placed in the vase at different heights.

● You can also place them in a flower pin (also known as a Kenzan or flower frog). This is a very useful florist’s tool that can be used time and time again, simply wash after each use. The pin can be placed directly on the table, in a vase, or in a bowl.

● Think outside the box and create interesting shapes. Use various vessels — maybe you have an unusual looking vase, maybe you have an interesting egg cup. Use them, have fun, be creative and let Radicchio inspire you.

We exist to fix the food system.

People are more cut off from the origins of their food than ever. This makes flavour, nutrition and farming practices that protect the planet, almost impossible to find.

By working directly with growers, we create a more sustainable way forward for farming. By giving everyone the tools to understand the power of our food choices, we empower everybody to become drivers of change.

Now is the time for action. Join the food system revolution.

Know where your food comes from

We know the name of the people behind everything we source. Recognise their growing artistry to find out exactly where your food comes from (and why that matters).

Make your diet diverse

Our growers work with varieties chosen for quality and nutrition, not yield. By selecting their crops you keep heritage seeds in play, add to ecosystem biodiversity and preserve unique flavours.
