Cuore del Vesuvio
There are few summer tomatoes more anticipated than Cuore del Vesuvio. Raffaele cultivates these in volcanic, mineral-rich soil on stepped hillsides, overlooking the Bay of Naples. This tomato is rooted in a place where the growing conditions are as unique as the variety itself. As with cultivating cucumber, melon and other varieties of tomato, controlling water intake is really important. Raffaele stays on top of this by minimally watering his plants, which is a careful balancing act – ensuring that the plant stays alive but stressing it enough to produce the high concentration of sugar and nutrients – the key to its incredible flavour.

Sun Sweet Melons
Our Sun Sweet Melons are cultivated by Oscar in Sermide – a grower we’ve been working with since 2015 and whose name is synonymous with quality. Slow growth, combined with considered cultivation methods make for some of the most exceptional produce we source. They can be distinguished from his Honey Moon variety by a beautiful web-like scarring on the skin. Inside, they have a slightly softer consistency and are saturated with sweet juice, while Honey Moon are a little firmer, but equally sweet.
