The sun is out and its time for Nasturtium Leaves and Flowers from Timbarra Farm.

Nasturtium are highly valuable in biodiverse farming, adding a companion crop to increase field productivity, repeal pests and when flowering, attracting beneficial insects. The leaves and flowers are often foraged for culinary use, however like many edible flower varieties have succumb to conventional growing techniques - stripping them of flavour and aroma.

Helen and Chris, hand harvest their garnish leaves and flowers on-demand and outside of heavy sunlight hours, ensuring to capture the vibrant aromas and structural integrity, only seen with soil grown crops.

In addition to Petite Nasturtium Leaves and Nasturtium Flowers, Helen and Chris have 3 more weeks of their punchy Marigold Flowers. Get excited for warmer weather in September as we will see the start over 10 more varieties of edible flowers, rotating seasonally through spring and summer.

WE EXIST TO FIX THE FOOD SYSTEM.

People are more cut off from the origins of their food than ever. This makes flavor, nutrition and farming practices that protect the planet, almost impossible to find.

By working directly with growers, we create a more sustainable way forward for farming. By giving everyone the tools to understand the power of our food choices, we empower everybody to become drivers of change.

Now is the time for action. Join the food system revolution.
