About the Job

There are thousands of food businesses out there. Joining Natoora means that you’re looking to be part of something bigger. As Assistant Store Manager, you’ll be the face of a dynamic, committed movement that is driving real change at ground level.

The assistant store manager supports the store manager to lead a profitable and customer-centric environment through the successful development or a team. Manages designated areas of responsibility including: hiring and developing talent, maintaining store and food controls, and applying merchant skills to curate a compelling customer experience. Through our training programme, we’ll equip you with the tools and knowledge to become a leading campaigner in your own right, climbing a clear growth path with training modules covering Product, Customer Service and Store Operations.

At the core of that knowledge is a deep understanding and appreciation for our product. You’ll learn where, how and by whom our food is grown, and how every decision - from seed selection to growing method to serving suggestion - can impact on the planet. Everyone has a part to play in creating a better food system. This is your chance.

  • Meets or exceeds sales, payroll and shrink goals. Controls expenses to increase profitability.
  • Collaborate with the SM to assess the business using company reporting tools; prioritises and creates action plans to impact results.
  • Communicates priority produce and allocation needs to SM. And the head of retail if SM is absent.
  • Partners with the SM to recruit, hire and retain top talent to build for the store and brand.
  • Ensures the development happens through all levels of the team.
  • Takes responsibility for own development and professional growth.
  • Cultivates an environment of genuine customer connection
